PRO deputy, Diego Santilli, defended President Javier Milei after the intention to push for an impeachment against him was announced due to the promotion of a cryptocurrency from the company KIP Protocol, which suffered a collapse causing millions in losses for investors. Santilli expressed his indignation over the situation, highlighting that Milei took responsibility by acknowledging the facts, explaining what happened, and taking the necessary measures, in addition to facing the situation head-on.
Regarding the impeachment, the deputy believes it is an attempt at destabilization by the Unión por la Patria bloc, who seek to remove a president who, in his opinion, is stabilizing the economy and addressing important issues for the country. Santilli harshly criticized Kirchnerism, accusing them of acting with hypocrisy and destroying Argentina while trying to give lessons in morality and ethics.
Santilli also strongly rejected the possibility of the impeachment proceeding, stating that President Milei will move forward despite the controversy. Additionally, the legislator praised the transparency with which the president acted by requesting an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Office and emphasized the importance of not changing the course of the Government after the crisis triggered by the cryptocurrency case.
In his criticisms, Santilli held former Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner responsible for the impoverishment of the country and lamented the consequences of 16 years of Kirchnerist government. He emphasized the need to acknowledge mistakes, take action, speak the truth, and maintain transparency before the citizenry.
